We support programs that allow young women to experience the freedom found in Christ.
A safe haven is a safe community. We reinforce the effort to reach out communities by the sharing the Good News of the Gospel.
In schools offering free education to the poorest children, we supply the daily bread in programs structured around teaching about The Bread of Life in Jesus.
Education deprivation is the best way to describe the condition for countless children living in the slums of New Delhi where Please Pass the Bread centers its support. Despite recent government projects to increase the ability for all to receive a good education, it is still a work in progress nationwide.
For reasons apparent in all slums everywhere, the poorest fall way behind in any attempt to achieve something greater, because they have so far up to climb. And where there are large numbers suffering, government resources soon run thin, with not enough to support any consistent surge towards a positive life.
Families living in these slums can barely scrape enough together to pay the rent or buy food. Many of the slum children in New Delhi don’t attend school because their families simply can’t afford the personal cost.
Please Pass the Bread has resolved, once again, that education and Biblical teaching, while caring for the immediate needs, is most important, to the future of children living in poverty.
We were easily led of the Lord to come along side a ministry, not only meeting the educational and vocational needs of impoverished women and children, but also providing much needed additional assistance.
The eternal love of the Lord is manifested daily in the lives of children in most need. Through daycare, primary school education, adult literacy courses, and healthcare, the lives of many are improving towards a more secure future.
